LONDON INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL "ST. PETERSBURG'S REVELATIONS"

13 - 15 December 2001

A Festival of contemporary music "St. Petersburg's Revelations" was successfully launched by Musica Nova Productions International Concert Agency on December 13th 2001. The Festival was dedicated to 300 - anniversary of St. Petersburg and was held under the auspices of St. Petersburg Government.

The concept of the Festival was to foster and initiate new achievements of contemporary St. Petersburg's art and music as well as to promote young outstanding artists to be heard by the widest possible international audience.

A programme of a musical journey through the centuries revealed a repertoire spanning across almost three centuries of artistic development. Most part of the music was performed for the first time in the UK and worldwide. The Festival programme presented three exciting evening concerts of exquisite classical and jazz music by famous St. Petersburg composers and artists.
