RUSSIAN BALLET STUDIO

"Dancing is the poetry of the foot."
John Dryden
English poet, dramatist and literary critic, 1631-1700

Ballet strengthens the entire body. It develops muscle tone, relieves stress, and adds grace and fluidity to your movements.

At Russian Ballet Studio our approach is based on the world famous school of Russian ballet. All classes aim to develop not only a working knowledge of classical ballet technique, an understanding of terminology and musical phrasing but also to introduce students to the music of great Russian composers. The programme of studies presents elements of the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D.) syllabus. We offer minimum two lessons per week on classical ballet and contemporary choreography.

Russian Ballet Studio classes range from grades to major levels. The exams are recommended at the discretion of the teacher in consultation with the parents and dancer. It is not compulsory to undertake the exam, however it offers a great challenge and sense of achievement to the student. For those pupils who are unable for some reason to take a full Grade examination, a Grade syllabus assessment is offered instead.
